“Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by ’laying on hands’ and is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flow through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s life force is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high we are more capable of being happy and healthy. The word Reiki is made of 2 Japanese words -Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is ‘life force energy.’ So Reiki is actually ‘spiritually guided life force energy’.”

(William Rand)

Reiki energy work can be described as a gentle healing modality, rebalancing the energy centers while allowing release of pain, stress, grief and other issues of the spirit and body.

The session takes 1-1/2 hours.

Reiki is a holistic, complementary approach to keeping your pet healthy and adding to their quality of life. It is gentle, safe and noninvasive. Using Reiki on animals is an effective way of helping animals with physical, emotional and behavioral problems. Animals respond very well to Reiki. They are very sensitive to energy and appear to have an innate knowing about how it can help them.

As a western trained medical professional I have been working with people with various acute, chronic and terminal illnesses for many years. In my quest I came to realize that many of the questions of life are indeed unanswerable and the courageous, well lived journey is more important than the answer.
